Joe, Thanks for sharing this. It's very relevant right now. In fact, you could argue that the whole future of the curriculum depends on us mking the transition to self-evaluation and learner-driven assessment.
Couldn't agree more - still think this needs to be alongside national framework and national occupational competencies so learners know they are mapping against recognised standards to stop snake oil sales folk. But for learners and for those working in training industry a portable e-portfolio and blurring of summative and formative assessment is the future.
Over 20 years working in education - it's gone fast - still trying to make it engaging for all.
